Skipping Workshops is an organisation run by ex-teachers that provides a range of services to schools, promoting skipping as a fun, creative activity that can improve the culture of the playground, enliven PE lessons and improve the fitness of all children.

Some of our services are free (our costs are met by the sale of skipping ropes to children, parents and staff), for some there is a small fee.

Services we provide are as follows:

Option 1: free skipping demonstration by Harold Galley or one of our qualified coaches; this involves our coach working for about 90 minutes with a small selected group of older children, and then presenting a demonstration to the whole school

Option 2: ‘improving playground behaviour’ this course lasts 45-60 minutes, for all staff involved in playground supervision and covers arrange of partner and team games, long rope and double dutch skipping. Fee: £15 per member of staff, or £75 for as many as you like!

Option 3: PE inset for teachers, showing how skipping activities can be included in PE lessons Fee: £15 per teacher, or £75 for as many as you like.

Option 4: after school skipping workshops, for up to 50 children, providing an hour of fun and creative activity for children aged 5 to 11.

Option 5: an all-day skip, a day of back to back lessons in the school hall, providing a skipping lesson for children throughout the school and finishing with a celebration of skipping in front of the whole school. Costs start at £175 and vary according to the size of the school.
