We promote skipping as an activity for everyone, but especially children. As a regular activity, we have found skipping improves fitness and behaviour, and is enjoyed by everyone. "See what our customers think of Skipping Workshops"

Skipping helps develop co-ordination, co-operation and communications skills, and is an activity that boys and girls can do together! We believe skipping to be the best activity for today's children.

we often get feedback from children:

I am writing to you to say thank you for coming to our school and helping us with the lovely skipping that you showed us. I bought a skipping rope at the end of the day and I'm finding skipping really fun. After the skipping workshop people have been using the skipping ropes more and more, so it looks like everyone loved your skipping workshop. I really enjoy the fact that skipping makes me healthy and fit

Susanna Fisher, Year 3, Samuel Lucas Primary School, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, April 2011

Skipping Workshops visit to the Isle of Man.... 2011

During the week of May 30th ( half-term week in UK) four Skipping Workshops coaches spent three days promoting skipping in the Isle of Man, visiting 11 schools, culminating in an exciting competition day at Rushen Primary School . The winning school was Rushen Primary in Port Erin; individual winner was Wilfy Kermode of St John's Primary School. Our thanks go to the Premier Group ( Isle of Man) Limited without whose generous support the event could not taken place.

Skipping Workshops would like to thank all the staff and pupils in the 11 schools ( Peel Clothworkers, Arbory, Rushen, Willaston, Ballsalla, Jurby, Andreas, Dhoon, St John's, Auldyn Infants and St Thomas's for the warm welcome, superb hospitality, and, especially, for the positive feedback.

Our next visit to the Isle of Man will be in 2012 when we are planning a different week.... details to follow...

Dave and Tina Westcott, who represent Skipping Workshops in the South West enjoying teaching children Double-Dutch at Instow Primary School, North Devon.

Skipping Workshops in Ireland:

We have been visiting schools in Ireland for over 10 years and our last visit was in the week beginning May 30th, when we visited schools in Enniskerry, Laois, Drogheda, Dublin and Tipperary.  If any schools in Ireland would like us to visit later in the year or in 2012, please get in touch so we can discuss a convenient time to visit.

Skipping Workshops in Dubai!

During the first week of February 2010, our chief coach, Harold Galley spent the week promoting skipping at the Deira International School in Dubai. The invitation came from Nigel Ludlam, deputy-head of the primary school. Nigel had previously hosted visits from Skipping Workshops at two schools in Brighton and ( luckily for us) remembered how much the children and staff enjoyed the visits. The visit to Dubai continues a proud record of Skipping Workshops visits to schools outside the UK. So far we have presented skipping in schools in Luxembourg ( 4 times), France ( 3 times) Belgium ( twice), Ireland ( 4 times), The Isle of Man  (3 times), as well as visits to Hong Kong and Australia. We have another visit planned for the summer term in Brussels and have had enquiries from schools in Budapest and Toulouse. If any International schools would like a visit, please contact us ( use the link above) and we would be pleased to explain how it works.

Update: Skipping Workshops have just completed their second succesful trip to Dubai ( early November, 2010) ; apart from another visit to the Deira International School in festival City, a first visit was made to the Sharjah English School.
