Congratulations to National Skipping Challenge 2015 winners St John’s Primary School and Emilia Chittenden.
National Skipping Challenge School Cup
St John’s Primary School in Kingston-upon-Thames won the National Skipping Challenge School competition, just beating last year’s winners, Rushen Primary School, from the Isle of Man, and previous winners Watermore Primary from Bristol.
Other schools that did particularly well this year include St Mary’s Primary (Dover), Manor Park Primary (Isle of Man), Sheringdale Primary (Wandsworth), Birchwood Grove Primary (West Sussex), St Luke’s Primary (Kingston-upon-Thames) and Malden Parochial (Kingston-upon-Thames).
National Skipping Challenge Individual Cup
Emilia Chittenden, a Year 6 pupil from St Luke’s Primary School in Kingston-upon-Thames, won the National Skipping Challenge Individual competition, coming first in both the Double Dutch category with an incredible score of 1007, and in the Double Unders category with a score of 100. She also had Top 10 scores in the Pretzels, Continuous Crossovers and Face to Face categories.
Like 2012 winner Nicole Wade from Watermore Primary (Bristol), 2013 winner Ben Jeffrey from St John the Baptist Junior (Richmond-upon-Thames) and 2014 winner Dylan Rainey from Rushen Primary (Isle of Man) she was presented with the National Skipping Challenge Individual Cup by Harold Galley, our Head Coach.
